How your result is calculated

Net WPM is your word count (characters divided by 5) minus wrong words, divided by minutes. Accuracy is correct words divided by all words. You qualify only when both targets are met. Numbers, dates and capitalized names count as correct, and Hindi words are checked for valid Devanagari structure.

Tips for Hindi typing speed

  • Stick to one keyboard layout so your fingers build memory.
  • Practice conjunct letters and vowel signs slowly, then speed up.
  • Keep accuracy high. Wrong words reduce your net speed.
  • Use the 10 second Live WPM to spot where you slow down.

Frequently asked questions

What speed do I need in this RRB NTPC Hindi practice test?

This practice test uses 25 net WPM and 95% accuracy as the targets. Confirm the official requirement in the recruitment notification, because rules can change.

Which keyboard do I need for Hindi typing?

Any Hindi input method installed on your device works, such as the Windows Hindi keyboard (Inscript) or a Hindi keyboard app on a phone. The test reads whatever Unicode Hindi you type. It does not emulate Kruti Dev font typing.

Does the test check Hindi spelling?

It checks that each word has valid Devanagari structure. It does not compare words to a Hindi dictionary, so a wrongly spelled but well-formed word may still count as correct.

Can I practice for the full test length?

Yes. The real test is typically 10 minutes, and the RRB NTPC page opens with that length selected. You can switch between Freeform, 5, 10 and 15 minutes above the typing box before you start.

Official marking rules differ by exam and notification. This tool deducts wrong words from your speed, which is a simplified version of real marking, so treat results as practice guidance. Typing Test by Dublesh is an independent practice tool and is not affiliated with SSC, RRB, UP Police or any recruitment board. Targets are practice benchmarks: always confirm requirements in the official notification.
